Say Hello To Hartford, Connecticut

Most people have never been to Hartford, Connecticut - despite it being a fairly short drive from the bright lights of New York City. Hartford sits on the east coast of the United States along the Connecticut river which originates in the mountains of New Hampshire and runs more than 400 miles to Long Island Sound and the Atlantic Ocean. It is full of great architecture and history, having been settled in 1637, and has been home to it's share of famous people. I grew up in the town of Bolton (pop. 3,500 at the time), deep in the country, just ten minutes from downtown Hartford. All these years later I find myself working in this capitol city and I've put together a little tour for you, as we are not a big travel destination and I can safely bet that most of you will never visit. We are presently experiencing a heat wave - so to my fellow New Englanders...I feel your pain... "KEEP COOL!"
